Larson Slade Associates, a registered, licensed small woman-owned business (WOSB) based in the Washington D.C. metro area, was founded by Andrean Larson.

She began her federal contracting career with development of pioneering computer-based training systems for the US military, evolving with the industry to today’s sophisticated blended learning solutions. At the same time she began to support and manage business development pursuits, and she has helped clients pursue business at a majority of federal agencies, state and local governments, from foundations and in the commercial sector.

She is Shipley-trained, and in the past 10 years she has led teams in winning a combined total of almost $3 billion in business (including multi-award vehicles and grants).  She provided tribal 8(a) training and technical assistance in Indian Country for the Small Business Administration’s Office of Native American Affairs, and more recently she has been helping a recently-recognized tribe strategize and establish its first 8(a) business.

In 1992 Larson Slade was invited to support examination of the Indian Trust Fund, which was managed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs on behalf of individual Indian and tribal account holders. Through that and follow-on work, Ms. Larson visited many BIA Area/Region and Agency Offices as well as tribal governments. She led a large team to define a refreshed trust fund organization and develop the Special Trustee’s first five-year strategic plan. Larson Slade established a practice dedicated to helping tribes, Indian citizens and businesses pursue business, as well as supporting the partnership and trust relationship between federal agencies and federally-recognized tribes. Recently Ms. Larson has been providing training and technical assistance on Executive Order 13175 Consultation and Coordination With Indian Tribal Governments and strategic planning for the BIA’s Tiwahe Initiative.

A long-time Washington player, Larson Slade has well-established relationships and partnerships across the nation. This resource bench enables us to help clients in many ways – design strategic plans, form teams, recruit specialized consultants, resolve difficult problems, communicate effectively, improve performance and win and keep business.
