If you are a business that employs low-income personnel, look into the HUD Section 3 program, which provides priority consideration for jobs, training and contracts.

If your business meets one of these criteria, you may be eligible for priority consideration:

• 51% or more owned by Section 3 residents
• At least 30% of fulltime, permanent staff are Section 3 residents or were within the last three years
• Evidence of commitment to subcontract 25% or more of the total dollar amount of all subcontracts to businesses that meet one of the previous two criteria
